3 Day Art Camp

3 Day Art Camp - Grades K - 8                                                $190.00 

Tuesday, July 25th through Thursday, July 27th  1:00 - 5:00 pm.

Your child will return during a specified glazing period to paint any fired clay items.

This should take no longer than 2 additional hours which are included in price.

Please send a snack and drink for your child to have during break.

Please have your child wear older clothing.  We will provide aprons, but there is always a possibility for messes!  In fact, the studio is set up to handle all kinds of creative messes.

Possible Projects for this Camp (depends on working speeds of students):

Plaster Animal - using pvc pipe, newspaper, masking tape, cardboard, plaster gauze and a special mixture of regular paper mache with joint compound and fiber filling, your child will complete a sitting, crouching or standing animal. These items will be smaller than the 5 day camp items.

Kiln Fired Clay Project - using kiln low fire clay, your child will create and glaze a fun item.  They will be introduced to clay through templates and/or molds, learn how to adhere clay pieces and find out how the kiln firing process works.  Your child will return during an Open Studio - Saturdays 11-4 to glaze their item.

Wood Project - using various pieces of wood, students will paint and assemble a project into a one-of-a-kind work of art.  Students will have the option to add a multitude of items.

Resin project - using a cup turner, your child will get to apply resin, alcohol inks, glitter and acrylic paint to a tumbler or vase.  After drying, all students can personalize their projects with vinyl and then apply a final layer of resin for protection.
